In an exchange with witness Patrick Dunleavy, the former deputy inspector of the criminal intelligence unit, New York Department of Correctional Services, Rep. Jackson Lee mentioned the case of a man who blew up an abortion clinic and proposed that this perhaps was an attempt to undermine U.S. law that allows a woman to procure an abortion.
Rep. Lee then said, “As we look to be informational, we should include an analysis of how Christian militants or others might bring down the country. We have to look broadly, do we not?”
Dunleavy answered: “I don’t know that Christian militants have foreign country backing or foreign country financing.”
Lee then said, “I don’t think that’s the issue. The issue is whether or not their intent is to undermine the laws of this nation. And I think it is clear that that is the case. So it’s not -- your distinction is not answering the question.”...
Ms. Jackson Lee was determined to distract the focus of the hearing from "Islamic Radicals" and shift it to "Christian Militants."
However, the Spin Cycle has been unable to find any evidence of Christian Militants taking hostages and decapitating them in order to further their religious beliefs. Further, there have been no instances of Christians hijacking airplanes and crashing them into tall buildings in order to murder innocent civilians.
Any time I read a story in which Sheila Jackson is quoted for making some absudly stupid remark I hand my head in shame that the actuaally represents "a district" in the great state of Texas. She certianly doesn't represent the majority. I wonder if Jackson attends church and how she can face her fellow parishioners, but then again I wonder how such an idiot gets re-elected to office. The woman is a total MORON!
ReplyDeleteThomas Jefferson once said "People will get the government they deserve" and when a Congressional District is full of morons, then they tend to elect one of their own to represent them.
