Did President Barack Hussein Obama "inherit a mess?"

"I inherited a mess. None of this is my fault"
President Barack Hussein Obama, D-Kenya, keeps reminding us that "he inherited a mess."

And the truth is, he actually did inherit a mess. But after almost four years in office he hasn't fixed any problems he told us he would fix. In fact, every single problem he inherited, he made much worse.

And this was despite him having two full years of super majorities in both houses of Congress. For his first two years in office, the President got everything he wanted from Congress.

Every plan he proposed was implement, exactly as he wanted it to be.

When he campaigned for election four years ago he made some pretty bold promises. Unfortunately, the only promise he kept was the one to legalize gays in the military. Every other promise was broken or not even addressed.

But President Obama is right. He did inherit a mess. But he made that mess worse.
This is the record he will have to defend when he campaigns for reelection.

Lets take a look at what he inherited, and what we have today.

Cheney Gets Heart Transplant from Unlikely Source

Mr. Cheney is very grateful for donated heart
Washington DC, Mar 25, 2012.  The recent heart transplant received by former Vice President Dick Cheney might have come from an unlikely source, according to speculation made by some sources.

Vice President Cheney's wife Lynne Cheney, reports: "He's like a brand new man. Not just healthier, but better in every way."

"Before the operation, he was almost an invalid," she told us. "But now he wants to shoot hoops all day long. And he can really nail those three point shots."

Mrs. Cheney also reports that "he is now a wonderful dancer, and has absolutely no need for Viagra anymore. I guess this means we will save a fortune at the pharmacy."

"Lately, all he wants to wear are hooded sweatshirts and baggy pants. I'm just glad he's alive and doing so well, even if his fashion sense has deteriorated," Mrs. Cheney added.
Other sources close to the former Vice President also report some changes in him since his recent heart transplant, and some of these changes aren't what they consider good changes.

Tom Whitman, a longtime friend and political adviser to Dick Cheney, says he was troubled when he heard Mr. Cheney saying "President Obama has some very good ideas." Even more disturbing was hearing Mr. Cheney said he will probably vote for President Obama in the election this fall.

Is this the possible organ donor?
Doctor Najeeb M.G. Charhandasu, a well respected transplant expert from John Hopkins Medical Center, says this type of thing isn't that unusual in heart transplant cases.

"Sometimes the traits of the transplant donor can surface in the transplant recipient. This can happen very routinely," Dr. Charhandasu told us.

Since the donor's identity is confidential then none of us will ever know who he or she was, not even Mr. Cheney himself.

But now it seems very likely that the donor may have been someone very different from the former Vice President. In both physical and psychological ways.

Desperate President Falsely Accuses Fox News

NYC, Mar 23, 2012. Feeling the pressure of declining approval ratings and of polls showing him losing to either Republican Mitt Gingrich or Rick Santorum in the upcoming election, President Barack Hussein Obama, D-Kenya, has lashed out at Fox News.

The controversy was further inflamed when recent primary election-eve poll showed that 52 percent of likely Mississippi Republican voters think President Obama is Muslim. In Alabama, the corresponding figure is 45 percent. Why do so many people think President Obama is a Muslim? The President blames Fox News.

Obama told a sympathetic group of labor leaders that
"he held Fox partly responsible for him 'losing white males'.… Fed by Fox News, they hear Obama is a Muslim 24/7, and it begins to seep in"
However, the problem with this brash accusation is that it is utterly and completely false. There is absolutely no proof of anyone employed by Fox News ever saying he was a Muslim on the air. Not one time, much less "24/7" as President Obama claimed.

There are some other, much better, reasons that many people think the President is a Muslim. And unlike his false claim, all of the following are 100% true:

* He was raised as a Muslim
* He studied the Muslim Koran as a child, and can still quote from it from memory
* He attended a Muslim school in Indonesia, where his religion was listed as Muslim.
* His father and stepfather were both Muslims
* He has three Muslim names, that he close himself
* His Muslim half brothers in Kenya say he is a Muslim
* He wore Islamic ceremonial garb, for a religious ceremony in Kenya
* He once slipped, and mentioned "my Muslim faith" during a TV interview
* He once referred to the USA as "one of the largest Muslim nations on earth"
* He has held Iftar Dinners at the White House, celebrating the Muslim holiday Ramadan
* He has expressed support for Hamas, an Islamic Terrorist group
* He gave Hamas $900 million of stimulus money, that they used to buy rockets
* He frequently quotes from "The Holy Qu'ron" by never calls the Christian Bible "The Holy Bible"
* He has ordered that the term "Islamic Extremism" not be used in U.S. Government documents
* He bypassed a Congressional ban to give $1.5 billion in aid to the Muslim Brotherhood

Despite all this evidence, it actually is possible that President Obama isn't a Muslim. He may not be one, but sometimes he sure seems to act like one. If a lot of people think he is a Muslim, then it isn't because of anything Fox News said or did. It is simply because President Obama has done all those things listed above, and acted in a way "somewhat consistent" with being a Muslim. But that still doesn't prove he is a Muslim.

In fact, it is highly unlikely that President Obama is a Muslim. Because he has never been seen performing any of the "five pillars of Islam" and he rotinely drinks alcohol and eats pork. If he is a Muslim, then he must be a very bad one.

The most accurate description you could apply is that President Obama has a deep appreciation for Islamic culture, and sympathizes with Islamic causes. If a lot of people wrongly think that the President is a Muslim, then he has only himself to blame for that, not Fox News.

Opinion: Barack Obama - The Teflon President

Afghanis burn President Obama in effigy
Two recent events in Afghanistan illustrate that no one seems willing to blame President Barack Hussein Obama, D-Keyna, for anything he is actually responsible for.

The incident involving the burning of Korans, and the tragic massacre of 16 Afghani civilians are not blamed on President Obama's leadership or lack of clear direction. The media doesn't hold Obama responsible for any of this, and neither do the Democrats or Republicans in Congress. Code Pink has been oddly silent, and so has Amnesty International.

We all know that no president has direct control over these things, but it was very common for former President Bush to be held accountable for anything our military did, as he was Commander in Chief. The media and the political left were so incensed by the Abu Ghraib incident in Iraq in 2004, that many called for his impeachment and were even suggesting he should be tried for War Crimes.

Similarly, a fraudulent Newsweek story about our soldiers flushing a Koran down a toilet in the Guantanamo Detention center was met with outrage by the media and the radical left. Again, they were blaming President Bush for this outrage. When the story was proven false, and finally retracted by Newsweek, there was no apology for the President.

Surely... the massacre of 16 civilians is a more serious matter than taunting a few prisoners and making they wear dog collars? The actual burning of many Korans has to be more serious than a fictitious flushing of one. Why isn't this President held accountable for anything on his watch?

President Obama takes no responsibility for his failures
President Obama's economic policies have been a complete failure. There were no "shovel ready jobs" and unemployment rates are still near record highs.

Food stamp use is at a record high, and we have the highest percentage of our population living below the poverty level since 1959.

And this is despite almost four years of throwing stimulus money around, which added $6 trillion to our national debt.

Surely, President Obama didn't cause these problems, but he should be held accountable for failing to make much progress on them. He virtually had a blank check, and he used it. But none of his policies has done very much to help our economy improve. Although they did enrich many of his favorite special interest groups and campaign donors.

In my view, the media and the radical left have done an excellent job suppressing any real political dissent against the president's policies by claiming that if you find fault with this president, then you are a racist. The constant repetition of this theme has a subconscious effect on people. They hold their tongues, for fear of being labeled as racists.

Does anyone think that a Republican president, or even a white Democrat would get this sort of three plus year honeymoon with the media? Isn't there anything they can find worth criticizing this president for?

President Obama finally withdrew our troops from Iraq exactly 18 months after President Bush's timetable. He escalated the war in Afghanistan, sending 30,000 more troops there, and launched a fresh war in Libya and a drone war in Yemen. Even now he is threatening war with Syria and Iran. And not one peep from the media on any of this.

His version was he didn't do anything for the past 3 years
What happened to Cindy Sheehan and Code Pink? Did they disappear? Did they change their feelings about war? Or are they still protesting, but not attracting any media coverage?

The only thing people seem willing to blame the President for is "high gas prices" and that is probably because he was so vocal in his wish to "bankrupt the coal industry" and in his opposition to new drilling sites and pipelines.

This president seems to have absolutely no energy plan... other than generously giving taxpayer money to political cronies running various green energy scams.

Gasoline Prices Hit New Highs

The California Energy Commission is reporting a new record high price for unleaded regular gas sold in California for the week starting Monday March 5, 2012. The price soared to $4.36 per gallon which is 233% higher than the $1.87 a gallon it was when President Barack Hussein Obama, D-Kenya, first took office in 2009.

To be fair about it, this is one campaign promise Barack Obama has kept. When he was campaigning in 2008 he told us he was "happy gas prices are going up because it will force us to invest in mass transportation!"

See for yourself...

New Poll: More Bad News for President Obama

Washington DC, Mar 10, 2012. The latest Rasmussen daily Presidential Tracking Poll shows that only 25% of the nation's voters "Strongly Approve" of the way that Barack Hussein Obama, D-Kenya, is performing his job as president.

Unfortunately for the President, forty-four percent (44%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -19.

If Mitt Romney becomes the GOP nominee facing President Obama in November, then he beats President Obama by five points.

The most recent poll shows Mitt Romney at 48%, and Barack Obama at 43%. That would be Romney’s largest lead since December.

If Rick Santorum becomes the Republican nominee, then he is up by one point over President Obama, 46% to 45%. This is the second time since polling began in 2011 that Santorum has had a slight lead over Obama. Romney is the only other candidate to lead the president more than one time in the polls

Overall, 44% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the president's job performance. Fifty-four percent (54%) at least somewhat disapprove.

Thirty percent (30%) now believe the United States is heading in the right direction. That’s down two points from a week ago and down four points from three weeks ago.

Daily tracking results are collected via telephone surveys of 500 likely voters per night and reported on a three-day rolling average basis.

The margin of sampling error for the full sample of 1,500 Likely Voters is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.

Would Mitt Romney Be our Richest President?

Running for President is a very expensive task today.

If you could just spend your own money, but then only multii-billionaires could compete against the money that Corporations, big unions and special interest groups can raise.

In other words, only people like Gates, Buffett, or Soros would have enough money to do it by themselves.

The ultra rich really aren't that anxious to spend their own money to win office. They would much rather spend yours!

Sure, Democrat John Corzinne did spend $115 million of his own money to win a Senate seat in NJ once. And Ross Perot did spend quite a bid of his own money in two losing bids for the White House. But this is the exception and not the rule.

How much do you think these people are worth? Here is a list of recent Presidential hopefuls and what their net worth is according to a google search:

John Kerry married money twice
$950,000,000 - John Kerry
$200,000,000 - Mitt Romney
$103,000,000 - Ted Kennedy
$100,000,000 - Al Gore
..$80,000,000 - Hillary Clinton (in 2008. Much more today)
..$72,000,000 - John Huntsman
..$55,500,000 - John Edwards
..$40,400,000 - John McCain
..$26,000,000 - GW Bush
..$19,000,000 - Newt Gingrich
..$18,000,000 - Herman Cain
..$10,000,000 - Barack Obama
....$4,000,000 - Ron Paul
....$2,000,000 - Rick Santorum
....$1,500,000 - Rick Perry
....$1,200,000 - Sarah Palin
....$1,000,000 - Michelle Bachmann

Now remember... every single one of these people is in "the top 1%," in fact... most are in "the top 0.1%"

But personal wealth isn't the whole story. Because once elected, an incumbent can use the federal treasury to buy votes. Like Barack Obama using taxpayer money to create winners and losers. This sort of money dwarfs personal wealth. We aren't talking about "millions" now... we are talking about trillions of dollars that can be used for politcal advantage.

If we look at it historically, adjusting for inflation, then many of our Presidents have been very wealthy and influential men:
George Washington turned out pretty good

$1,000,000,000 - John F. Kennedy
...$525,000,000 - George Washington
...$212,000,000 - Thomas Jefferson
...$125,000,000 - Theodore Roosevelt
...$119,000,000 - Andrew Jackson
...$101,000,000 - James Madison
.....$98,000,000 - Lyndon B. Johnson
.....$75,000,000 - Herbert Hoover
.....$60,000,000 - Franklin D. Roosevelt
.....$51,000,000 - James Tyler
.....$27,000,000 - James Monroe
.....$26,000,000 - Martin Van Buren

So, if Mitt Romney wins this election, then he would be our fourth "richest president" behind JFK, George Washington and Thomas Jefferson. Those other three rich guys turned out to be pretty good presidents.

NYC Builds $2.3 Million Out-House for Parkgoers

Elmhurst NY, Mar 7, 2012. A costly restroom facility in Elmhurst contracted by the city nearly two years ago is still under construction, and it could end up costing even more than originally indicated.

The comfort station at Elmhurst Park, at the former site of the Elmhurst Gas Tanks, was originally quoted at just under $2 million in July 2010. The city has since raised the price tag to nearly $2.3 million. And parkgoers continue a scramble to find places to relieve themselves nine months after the park opened.

“Two million dollars seems obscene,” said Robert Holden, president of the Juniper Park Civic Association, which waged a nearly decade-long campaign to block commercial developers and convert the area into park land.

“Anybody in private industry who looked at this building would laugh,” Holden added.

The park should have been equipped with a bathroom from the outset, he said, so that visitors would have facilities available as soon as the park opened.

President Obama approves of unionized labor
But he said he wasn’t necessarily surprised the city is spending so much time and money for a relatively small public works project.

“This is something we’ve learned to put up with in the City of New York,” Holden said. “This thing about wasting money on capital projects, it doesn’t get fixed and it goes on and on. This comfort station is a testament to that.”

The Parks Department defended the cost

“We follow the city’s rules when procuring projects and select the lowest responsible bidder,” an agency spokesman said. “The costs of this building per square foot are similar to those of other new comfort stations.”

Agency officials attributed the cost to installing brand new utilities, and said “unique challenges of building on a former industrial site” hindered them from having the restrooms ready when the park opened.

The cost of the project has not actually changed, the spokesman noted, since the original 2010 budget included only construction and contingency fees. It did not include so-called “soft costs,” which include design fees, soil testing and land surveys.

“With the cost and the time they’ve taken, you could have built entire parks,” said Geoffrey Croft, of NYC Park Advocates, a watchdog group. “The city has to manage these contracts much better. They’re just flushing money down the toilet.”

He echoed Holden’s sentiment that the city exercised poor planning by not having a facility built by the time the park was unveiled. Croft said he has seen people in the park using lawns and trees to relieve themselves.

“As a caretaker I can tell you, it’s embarrassing for them and for us,” Croft said.

The comfort station, which has an abstract architectural style, will “reflect the playful, curving geometries and gentle swales of Elmhurst Park’s design,” the Parks Department spokesman said.

Holden said he would have liked something more nostalgic than modern, but that he will reserve judgment until he sees the finished project.

“It would have been nice to put up something reminiscent of the gas tanks,” he said. “We’ll have to wait and see what it looks like.”

The facility is slated to open in June.

Obama Stops Blaming Bush; Starts Blaming Romney

The President also blames the Founding Fathers
Washington DC Mar 6, 2012. In a sudden and unexpected change of policy, President Barack Hussein Obama, D-Kenya, has decided to stop blaming former President Bush, and start blaming future President Romney for all his policy failures.

This policy shift was made because recent focus group polling suggests that "blaming Bush" was no longer working for the President.

"Former President Bush has been gone for almost four years now, and he had absolutely nothing to do with any of the President's policy failures, so blaming him constantly was starting to wear very thin," a White House spokesman told us.

"He really wore that one out."

Several plans were considered by the White House reelection team, and the plan to blame Romney narrowly beat out the plan to blame Rush Limbaugh. But only by a hair. There are still several close Obama advisers who think blaming Limbaugh would have been a much smarter strategy.

"We needed a new, more modern and more plausible direction. Then, the president approved the idea of blaming all his failures on the next President Mitt Romney instead," he continued on the condition of anonymity.

"One thing for certain, the President will never assume any blame for any of his failed policies. It is a given that someone else will always be responsible when President Obama screws up. This is the custom in his native Kenya. The chief always blames the former chief, or someone in another village."

Recently, President Obama sought to deflect growing Republican attacks over rising gas prices at the pump, by blaming them on a mix of factors beyond his control, including tensions with Iran, hot demand from China, India and other emerging economies, and Wall Street speculators taking advantage of the uncertainty. Then he decided to add in "the biggest factor was Republicans obstructing our policies, like Mitt Romney will do."

President Obama doesn't think that banning drilling sites, vetoing the pipeline, devaluing the dollar, making it impossible to build new refineries, or blocking the construction of new nuclear power plants on vague environmental grounds had anything to do with higher prices for gasoline.

"All of those factors are really minor" the President said. "The real problem is Republicans blocking my much needed agenda, and that includes future President Romney.

President Romney thanking campaign workers next November
"It's the easiest thing in the world (to) make phony election-year promises about lower gas prices," Obama said, offering his most comprehensive rebuttal yet of the intensifying Republican criticism.

"What's harder is to make a serious, sustained commitment to tackle a problem that may not be solved in one year or one term or even one decade," he said. "We simply must stop using all fossil fuel. It's the only viable solution for our problem."

The President then said "if everyone bought a Chevy Volt, then we'd almost be there."

GM Halts Production of Problem Plagued Chevy Volts

One lemon getting into another lemon
Detroit, Mar 2, 2012. General Motors announced today that they are temporarily suspending production of their Chevy Volt electric car..

GM announced to employees at one of its facilities in Detroit that it was halting production of the beleaguered electric car for five weeks and temporarily laying off 1,300 employees.

The auto giant says they plan to resume production of the Volt by April 23, 2012.

"We needed to maintain proper inventory and make sure that we continued to meet market demand," GM spokesman Chris Lee said in a telephone interview.

Lee noted that sales of the Volt were higher in February than they were in January, and added that California recently decided to allow the electric car to qualify for High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lanes in the state.

"We see positive trends, but we needed to make this market adjustment," he said. The Chevy Volt has come under criticism because of reports of its batteries catching on fire during testing.

Fireman putting out a typical Volt fire
President Barack Hussein Obama, D-Kenya, gave the electric vehicle a vote of confidence in a speech to the United Auto Workers union this week, promising he would buy a Volt "five years from now, when I'm not president anymore."

The Volt also requires a special $3,000 home charger, and while getting high gasoline mileage, can double your power bills by needing to be charged overnight.

Many have argued that the Volt was being pushed by the Obama administration for political reasons instead of consumer demand.

“Is the commitment to the American public or is the commitment to clean energy, that we are going to get there any way we can?” Rep. Mike Kelly (R-Pa.) asked in a hearing in the House in January about the Volt's reported battery fires.

“When the market is ready … it won’t have to be subsidized,” Kelly said. Chevy has argued the debate about the Volt has become too political.

The Volt will save gas, but cost a lot for electricity
"We did not develop the Chevy Volt to be a political punching bag," General Motors CEO Daniel Akerson testified before Congress in the same January hearing. "We engineered the Volt to be a technological wonder."

Chevy has sought to give a boost to the public image of the Volt, releasing a commercial in January tying the Volt to the effort to reduce dependence on foreign oil.

Obamaflation: Real Inflation Rate Tops 8%

Washington DC, Mar 1, 2012. President Barack Hussein Obama, D-Kenya, likes to tell us that "inflation is only a very modest 3.1%." And that is only true because the government completely ignores the cost of food and fuel in calculating this statistic.

They ignore those things you purchase every day, and focus instead on things you rarely purchase...things like buying a new home. And with housing prices way down, it makes inflation seem much less that what it really is.

You really should ignore the 3.1 percent rise in the government's Consumer Price Index. Everyday prices are up some 8 percent over the past year, according to the American Institute for Economic Research.

This nonpartisan not-for-profit research group measures inflation without looking at the big, one-time purchases that can skew the numbers. That means they don't look at the price of houses, furniture, appliances, cars, or computers. Instead, AIER focuses on Americans' typical daily purchases, such as food, gasoline, child care, prescription drugs, phone and television service, and other household products.

The institute contends that to get a good read on inflation's "sticker shock" effect, you must look at the cost of goods that the average household buys at least once a month and factor in only the kinds of expenses that are subject to change. That, too, eliminates the cost of housing because when you finance your home with a fixed-rate mortgage, that expense remains constant until you refinance or move.

Inflation really hurts poor people the most
The group maintains that this index better measures the real-world impact of price changes, particularly for people on a budget, since it tracks things they purchase every week.

And, largely as the result of the recent run-up in gas prices, this "everyday price index" (EPI) suggests that Americans are being pinched far more tightly than the official inflation measure would have you believe.

Over the past year, the EPI is up just over 8 percent, according to the economics group. The biggest factor: Motor fuel and transportation costs are up 21.06 percent from year-ago levels. The cost of food, prescription drugs, and tobacco also have increased faster than the government's inflation measure, rising 3.56 percent, 4.21 percent, and 3.4 percent, respectively.

Prior to 2002, CPI inflation may have been a reasonable approximation for the price increases people faced in their everyday purchases. But this is no longer the case. Due to the failed and counterproductive Obama energy policy, some people are now spending over $100 a week just to buy gasoline to get to work.

"This is really better for Mother Earth"
And food costs, while once a modest portion of their budgets, have now gone sky high. This means that indexing various payments, Social Security benefits, for example, to the increase in the overall CPI no longer adequately compensates recipients for rising everyday costs.

This has the strongest impact on individuals who rely on fixed incomes from savings or Social Security. These people need to plan for essentially uncontrollable changes in everyday costs.
