Libyan rebels admit having links to al-Qaeda

Tripoli, Mar 26, 2011. Abdel-Hakim al-Hasidi, the Libyan rebel leader, has said jihadists who fought against allied troops in Iraq are on the front lines of the battle against Muammar Gaddafi's regime.

Ironically, our own President Barack Hussein Obama, D-Kenya, has joined their ranks too, providing air support for the rebel attempt to oust Muammar Gadaffi.

Mr al-Hasidi admitted that he had recruited "around 25" men from the Derna area in eastern Libya to fight against coalition troops in Iraq. Some of them, he said, are "today are on the front lines in Adjabiya".

Mr al-Hasidi insisted his fighters "are patriots and good Muslims, not terrorists," but added that the "members of al-Qaeda are also good Muslims and are fighting against the invader".

His revelations came even as Idriss Deby Itno, Chad's president, said al-Qaeda had managed to pillage military arsenals in the Libyan rebel zone and acquired arms, "including surface-to-air missiles, which were then smuggled into their sanctuaries".

And now President Obama has joined their ranks by providing American air cover for their revolution against the Libyan strongman Gadaffi.

Mr al-Hasidi admitted he had earlier fought against "the foreign invasion" in Afghanistan, before being "captured in 2002 in Peshwar, in Pakistan".

He was later handed over to the US, and then held in Libya before being released in 2008.

US and British government sources said Mr al-Hasidi was a member of the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group, or LIFG, which killed dozens of Libyan troops in guerrilla attacks around Derna and Benghazi in 1995 and 1996.

 

Now that our President is assisting al-Qaeda, he has solidified his image as a strong defender of radical Islam.

Reactions were favorable after a major speech in Cairo in 2009 by President Obama that marked an attempt by the US president for reconciliation with the Muslim world. 

Terrorists said they were impressed. 

"We still hate America," said a spokesperson for Al Queda, "but this Obama guy seems alright.  In our future attacks, we will do all that we can to make sure he is not injured."

A White House spokeperson said the administration was pleased with the response and hoped that future conciliatory speeches by other senior US officials could secure similar immunity for the vice president, secretary of state and perhaps other members of the Cabinet.

Connecticut Democrats Hard at Work on Budget

A photo of two Democratic legislators playing solitaire has ignited controversy at the state Capitol and in the blogosphere.

 

The Associated Press picture has appeared in any number of venues, and it shows two lawmakers sitting in the back row of the historic Hall of the House in Hartford during the lengthy debate over the two-year, $37 billion state budget.

 

On the left is Rep. Barbara Lambert, a freshman Democrat from Milford who won her first legislative election in November 2008. She replaced longtime Milford Democrat James Amann, who ended his legislative career as the House Speaker and is now running for governor against Republican M. Jodi Rell.

 

Lambert is playing spider solitaire in the photo, while Rep. Jack F. Hennessy, a Bridgeport Democrat who has served in Hartford since 2005, is playing regular solitaire. They both voted in favor of the Democratic-written budget, while Cafero voted against it. A Boston College graduate, Hennessy is a delivery specialist for FedEx.

 

During the long debates at the state Capitol, legislators often work on their laptop computers - as seen in the photograph. Sometimes they are answering e-mails from constituents, while other times they are researching important information on pending bills. Other times, they are playing solitaire.

 

When asked Tuesday about the photo by Capitol Watch, Republican Gov. M. Jodi Rell laughed and said, "I think if they'd spend less time playing computer games and more time looking for spending cuts, then we would have been out of here a lot sooner.''

Another Obamacare Proponent Wants a Waiver

NYC, Mar 23, 2011. Yet another advocate for President Barack Hussein Obama's Socialized Medicine plan wants a waiver for his own city.

Congressman Anthony Weiner said today that he was looking into how a health law waiver might work for New York City.

Weiner, who is likely to run for mayor of New York, said that because of the city’s special health care infrastructure, his office was looking into alternatives that might make more sense.

Weiner is one of the health care law’s biggest supporters; during the debate leading up to reform, he was one of the last holdouts in Congress for the public option.

“The president said, ‘If you have better ideas that can accomplish the same thing, go for it,’” said Weiner. “I’m in the process now of trying to see if we can take (President Barack Hussein Obama, D-Kenya) up on it in the city of New York, … and I’m taking a look at all of the money we spend in Medicaid and Medicare and maybe New York City can come up with a better plan.”

New York is one of two states that pass on Medicaid expenses to cities and localities, so “the city winds up having an enormous Medicaid expense,” Weiner said.

He used the waivers as way to describe how flexible the law actually is and how “this notion that the government is shoving the bill down people’s throats” is not true.

Weiner now joins a long list of Unions who also backed Obamacare to the hilt, and after it became law sought, and often were granted waivers.

It's a simple case of radical Democrats wanting to force something on  YOU, but on THEMSELVES.

McCaskill Fails to Pay Taxes, No One is Shocked.

"Taxes? I don't pay no stinkin' taxes!"

St. Louis, Mar 22, 2011. Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-MO, another radical leftwing Democrat and staunch supporter of President Barack Hussein Obama, D-Kenya, has not paid her property taxes.

She now has joined a long list of radical Democrats who refuse to pay their own taxes, while criticizing the Tea Party for wanting lower taxes for average Americans.

McCaskill revealed she failed to pay nearly $290,000 in Missouri property taxes on her private plane, state Republicans called on her to release all tax returns associated with the aircraft to prove she hasn’t profited from publicly funded flights.

“We’re saying release the damn records,” Lloyd Smith, executive director of the Missouri Republican Party, said Tuesday on a conference call with reporters.

Not nearly as lavish as Nancy Pelosi's plane

His call for action played off McCaskill’s comments Monday in which she said she urged her husband to “sell the damn plane” after discovering she owed the state $287,273 for four year’s worth of back taxes. She wrote a check Monday to St. Louis County for all personal property taxes owed, including interest and late fees.

Despite pressure from Republicans, McCaskill’s office has refused to release any tax returns and has no obligation to do so under state or federal law.

But McCaskill has repeatedly denied that she or her husband, St. Louis businessman Joe Shepard, profited from the taxpayer-funded flights. Depreciation of the plane has more than offset any revenues, she said.

“I can assure you that this plane has not been a profitable endeavor,” McCaskill told reporters on Monday.
Smith said the Missouri GOP plans to file a second letter with the Senate Ethics Committee by Wednesday, supplementing a complaint it filed last week against McCaskill urging an investigation into the senator for using taxpayer dollars to pay for political trips on the plane.

Earlier this month, McCaskill reimbursed the Treasury Department $88,000 after she used taxpayer dollars to pay for 89 flights on her private plane. At least one of those publicly funded trips was to a political event, Democrat Days in Hannibal in 2007.

The Missouri GOP is now pressing McCaskill to release tax records from two of her husband’s limited liability corporations linked to the plane: Delaware-based Timesaver LLC, which owns the plane, and Missouri-based Sunset Cove LLC, which leases the plane.

Washington DC, Mar 21, 2011. As President Barack Hussein Obama, D-Kenya, stumbles through his third year in office the radical left who once embraced him as their messiah are now becoming disillusioned and skeptical about him.

It seems they didn't get the "change" they voted for, and many feel like they just ended up with "GW Bush with a nice tan" instead.

The Radical Left has been very careful to hold back any criticism of President Obama, but his recent war mongering in Libya is causing many to finally jump ship.

The Obama Honeymoon might finally be over, as their legs stop tingling and the thrill is all gone.

They really didn't mind President Obama completely bungling our economy, having no viable energy policy, and plunging our nation deep into permanent debt. They didn't mind the soaring price of gasoline and food. They even didn't mind all his extravagant vacations and wasteful spending for his personal entertainment.

What finally got to them was President Obama launching a new war in the Middle East.

Moore isn't happy with Messiah

Leftwing ideologue Michael Moore has called for Obama to return his Nobel Peace Prize.

Rep. Dennis Kucinich, D-OH, said that it's an "indisputable fact" that President Obama committed an impeachable offense by authorizing a military attack without congressional approval.

President Obama literally  made hundreds of campaign promises to his loyal fans, and so far has only kept one of them... repealing the Don't Ask Don't Tell policy of our military. Aside from that, Obama seems to be operating like a less competent GW Bush on his third term in office

• Obama extended the Bush tax cuts that he promised to repeal.
• The Detention Center at Guantanamo Bay is still open, and Obama now wants military tribunals.
• The "warrant-less wiretaps" of terror suspects still continues.
• Instead of two "illegal wars" we now have three.
• Rather than repeal the Patriot Act as he promised he would do, President Obama expanded it.
• And now we have late breaking news that Obama has his own "Abu Ghraib style" scandal in Afghanistan

Kusinich is outraged

If the Radical Left is disappointed with their president, maybe they should consider adding to their list of qualifications for the position which in 2008 apparently only included the color of the candidate's skin and his ability to read from a teleprompter.

Next time around, they might be better off picking someone with a lot more substance and qualifications for office, rather than simply having  the thrill of nominating someone who "isn't white."

Obama Frolics In Brazil While Japan is Devastated

Rio de Janero, Mar 19, 2011. President Barack Hussein Obama, D-Kenya, is enjoying another well deserved vacation at taxpayer expense.

President Obama, and the First Lady are winding down from all the stress of  not doing anything.

While there are problems in Egypt, Japan, Libya and our own budget crisis they are enjoying another extravagant  vacation this week.

The President is rapidly developing a reputation for running off to lavish vacations whenever things get tough back home. Barack Obama would rather have a good time than bear down and do his job.

But, at least the Obamas are always stylish.

The Obamas, Malia, Sasha, Marian "First Granny" Robinson included, touched down in Brazil on Saturday, and based on the outfits the first lady and her daughters have worn so far, it would seem that fun is the name of the game.

For their departure from the White House on Friday night, 12-year-old Malia sported beige booties, a polka-dot skirt, a military green jacket, and a pink tote bag for the flight. 9-year-old Sasha complemented her sister in a polka dot trench, red shoes, and a tie-dyed tote.

Mrs. Obama wore a snazzy black leather jacket.

When they touched down in Brasilia some hours later, the family emerged in a range of playful prints (except for the president, who wore a dark suit). Malia looked a little more business, topping of her dress with a navy blazer. And all three Obama women were wearing an armful of bracelets and bangles.

Later in the day, the family joined forces with Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff (herself the recent recipient of an extreme makeover).

The first lady had changed into a metallic suit, later removing the jacket to speak before 50 Brazilian youth ambassadors in a sexy one-shouldered dress.

Barack H. Obama Elementary School to Close

Asbury Park NJ, Mar 19, 2011.  A central New Jersey elementary school that was renamed in honor of President Barack Obama last year will soon be closed.

The Barack H. Obama Elementary School in Asbury Park, N.J. will be permanently closed this summer, largely due to poor academic performance and falling enrollment.


The Bangs Avenue Elementary School was renamed to honor President Barack Hussein Obama, D-Kenya, in an effort to instill pride in the largely African-American student body.

Last year, when the school acquired its new name, administrators took a lot of flak for focusing on the name change instead of the plight of its students. But the city resident behind the movement, Myra Campbell, believed it would "send a subliminal message" to the students.

"Every time they walk through the school doors, there's going to be a certain amount of pride in where they go to school,"  Campbell said. "We now move forward in trying what we can to improve the academic skills of the students and also the social skills."

"Looking back, It was probably a mistake to replace Reading and Math classes with Kenyan Studies and Progressive History."

The school's enrollment has dropped 35% over the last decade, so it got the short straw when the district opted to shut one down. 

About 1,000 students will be reassigned to local schools in the fall.

The state monitor who oversees financial operations for the Asbury Park School District cited declining enrollment for the decision announced Thursday. Monitor Bruce Rodman (who is not related to NBA superstar Dennis Rodman) told the Asbury Park Press newspaper the Barack H. Obama elementary school will be closed July 1.

The school was built more than a century ago and formerly was known as the Bangs Avenue School.

Students who now attend classes there will be reassigned to the district's two other elementary schools for the next school year.

The state's Schools Development Authority had planned to build a new school to replace the historic building, but those plans recently were canceled.

According to a plan presented at a community meeting Monday night, all kindergarten-through-fourth-grade students living west of Comstock St would go to Bradley Elementary at 1100 Third Ave.

And those students east of Comstock would attend Thurgood Marshall Elementary at 600 Monroe Ave.


Fifth-graders would be moved to the middle school.

The Obama school closing is expected to result in 470 students enrolled at Bradley and 540 at Thurgood Marshall. The need to reorganize stems from the low academic achievement and declining enrollment in the district's schools.
