Democrats Caught Trying to Rig Elections

Pontiac MI, Mar 17, 2011. Two former high-ranking members of the Oakland County Democratic Party are facing various election corruption charges in a bogus tea party scheme,

Oakland County Prosecutor Jessica Cooper and County Sheriff Michael Bouchard announced the arraignments on Wednesday.

Former Democratic Party Chairman Michael McGuinness and ex-operations director Jason Bauer, both of Waterford Township, were arraigned Wednesday before Oakland Circuit Judge James Alexander.

They face charges related to Independent Tea Party filings, false affidavits and forged documents that occurred between July 23 and July 26 last year.

According to the arraignment, these two Democrat Party operatives were fraudulently filing bogus candidates as "Tea Party" members in races for county commissioners and a State Senate seat. Their goal was to divide the Republican vote, and enable easy Democrat Party victories.

"The presumed intent was to get people drawn to tea party politics and siphon votes off (from other candidates)," Bouchard said.

While creating such a party in itself is not illegal, Bouchard noted that the alleged forging of documents and putting people up for political office without their involvement — including at least one "candidate" who told investigators he had no knowledge that he was on the ballot until notified — is criminal.

Bouchard said the investigation of possible election corruption is continuing and included an unnamed "party leader in Lansing." The sheriff did not elaborate.

Both resigned their party posts following allegations in August that suspicious filings were notarized by Bauer.

Several months ago, Bauer was suspended from the Oakland Democratic Party after it surfaced that he encouraged interns to write bogus "help me" letters from nonexistent residents in support of a medical program backed by a Democratic commissioner.

Both stood mute to the charges and were released on $25,000 personal bond each, pending an April 13 hearing before Alexander.

The charges include felonies that carry up to 14 years in prison. Neither could be reached for comment.

Cooper and Bouchard announced the charges during a joint press conference conducted to discuss the findings of a one-person grand jury seated by Oakland Circuit Judge Edward Sosnick.

"The election process is sacred … this is not a partisan statement," Cooper said, noting her Democratic affiliation and that of Bouchard, a Republican. Bouchard said 23 questionable election filings across Michigan — eight of them in Oakland County — involved an effort to create the illusion of an Independent Tea Party and its candidates on November's ballot.

Both McGuinness and Bauer are charged with three counts of forged records, uttering and publishing, a 14-year felony; three counts of election law, false swearing, a felony punishable by five years in prison; and one count of election law, false swearing-perjury, also a five-year felony.

Bauer is also charged with three counts of notary public violation, a one-year misdemeanor.

California Environmentalists Block Solar Power Plant

They tell us that Solar Energy is the answer. 

 

Coal is bad for Mother Earth, Nuclear Energy is way too dangerous, oil and natural gas shouldn't be burned because they cause Global Warming, and Hydroelectric Dams disturb fish habitats.

They say we should be using Solar Power instead. 

 

 

It's really the only thing left. Even President Barack Hussein Obama, D-Kenya, says we must use solar power.

 

But... environmental groups were worried that a massive solar project in the Mojave will threaten protected wildlife, like the fringe-toed lizard. So they forced the builder to shut down the project that would have provided plenty of electricity for Southern California.

 

Tessera Solar had planned to plant 34,000 solar dishes — each one 40 feet high and 38 feet wide — on 8,230 acres of the Mojave Desert in Southern California. This solar plant was scheduled to come online next year.

However several environmental groups raised red flags about the massive project’s impact on such protected wildlife as the desert tortoise, the Mojave fringe-toed lizard and Nelson’s bighorn sheep. They were joined in this by labor unions that wanted the project halted because they were hiring non union workers.

Thanks to the nonstop lawsuits and harassment, the project has now been canceled.  Tessera Solar North America, Inc. sold its as yet undeveloped Calico Solar Project near Barstow, Calif., to K Road Power Holdings, LLC.

Originally Tessera had planned to build an 850 megawatt SunCatcher-based power plant at the Calico location. In a press release announcing the sale, K Road said it plans to build an 850 megawatt plant, but will only use 100 megawatts of SunCatchers. The remainder of the project will consist of 750 megawatts of photovoltaics.

Calico was one of dozens of industrial-scale solar farms planned for the Southwest that have divided environmentalists over the need to promote renewable energy while protecting fragile desert ecosystems.

But the sheer size of the Calico project, as well as its location next to federal conservation areas, drew scrutiny from grassroots green activists and national organizations like the Defenders of Wildlife.

Diane Feinstein says "NO"

Also jumping into the fray was a well-funded labor group that presses solar developers to employ union workers, and the Wildlands Conservancy.

This is a Southern California non-profit that supports a proposal by Senator Dianne Feinstein, Democrat of California, to ban renewable energy development on hundreds of thousands of acres of the Mojave adjacent to Calico.

The labor group, called California Unions for Reliable Energy, sent an attorney and biologist to testify at the hearing. The group has come under fire for inundating developers who decline to sign labor agreements with demands that they conduct scores of costly environmental studies on their solar projects.

California Unions for Reliable Energy has taken a particularly aggressive stance in the Calico case, dispatching its own biologist to investigate the project site. At the hearing, the biologist, Scott Cashen, accused Tessera Solar of providing scientifically invalid data in its license application as well as underestimating the solar farm’s consequences for wildlife.

President Enjoys Childish Distractions

Washington DC, Mar 16, 2011. The Middle East is in turmoil, Japan is suffering from an earthquake and tsunami, and the battle of the budget is raging in the USA, but none of this seems to be deterring President Barack Hussein Obama, D-Kenya, from a heavy schedule of childish distractions.

The new White House Chief of Staff William Daley was supposed to bring a new sense of discipline and purpose to the White House. Instead, he is permitting President Obama to showcase himself as a poorly focused leader who has his priorities backward.

This morning, as Japan’s nuclear crisis enters a potentially catastrophic phase, we are told that Obama is videotaping his NCAA tournament picks and that we’ll be able to tune into ESPN Wednesday to find out who he likes.

On Saturday, the President made his 61st outing to the golf course, and got back to the White House with just enough time for a quick shower before heading out to party with Washington’s elite journalists at the annual Gridiron Dinner.

With various urgencies swirling about him, Saturday’s weekly videotaped presidential address focusing on “Women’s History Month” seemed bizarrely out of touch.

On Friday Obama took time out to honor the 2009-10 Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks. Thursday was a White House conference on bullying – not a bad idea perhaps, but not quite Leader of the Free World stuff either.

Obama appeared a little sleepy as he weighed in against the bullies, perhaps because he’d spent the night before partying with lawmakers as they took in a Chicago Bulls vs. Charlotte Bobcats game.

Meanwhile, the president has been studying for weeks whether to establish a No Fly Zone over Libya, delaying action while the point becomes increasingly moot as Qaddafi begins to defeat and slaughter his opponents. And lawmakers from both Parties are wondering why he seems to be AWOL in the deficit reduction debate.

Just chillin'

The Libya indecision follows an inconsistent response to the protests that ousted former Egyptian President Mubarak and seemed to catch the White House off guard.

The response from the White House Monday to Saudi Arabia’s dispatch of troops to Bahrain suggested the administration wasn’t prepared for that one either.

On Thursday, the president will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. And then Friday it’s off to Brazil for the start of a three-country Latin American tour.

Obama's AG Forces Lower Standards on Dayton Police

Dayton OH, Mar 15, 2011. President Barack Hussein Obama's, D-Kenya, Attorney General Eric Holder has urged the Dayton Police Department to lower their testing standards for new recruits.

He says that this is necessary so that more of “his people” could get in despite having failing scores on the tests.
  

Instead of finding a way to help blacks better prepare for these types of exams and to help them rise up to the standard, Holder falls back on the greatest tragedy of affirmative action: lowering the bar and expectations of those it’s meant to help.

It’s a move required by the U.S. Department of Justice after it says not enough African-Americans passed the exam. Dayton is in desperate need of officers to replace dozens of retirees. The hiring process was postponed for months because the D.O.J. rejected the original scores provided by the Dayton Civil Service Board, which administers the test.

Under the previous requirements, candidates had to get a 66% on part one of the exam and a 72% on part two. The D.O.J. approved new scoring policy only requires potential police officers to get a 58% and a 63%. That’s the equivalent of an ‘F’ and a ‘D’.

“It becomes a safety issue for the people of our community,” said Dayton Fraternal Order of Police President, Randy Beane. “It becomes a safety issue to have an incompetent officer next to you in a life and death situation.”

Holder's decision is so blatantly wrong, that even the NAACP opposes it. The Black Community doesn't need unqualified police protecting them, even if they happen to be black.

They need highly qualified police officers, no matter what race they happen to be.

"Unqualified cops make mistakes that cost lives."

“The NAACP does not support individuals failing a test and then having the opportunity to be gainfully employed,” agreed Dayton NAACP President Derrick Foward. The D.O.J. and Civil Service Board declined Dayton’s News Source’s repeat requests for interviews. The lower standards mean 258 more people passed the test. The city won’t say how many were minorities.

“If you lower the score for any group of people, you’re not getting the best qualified people for the job,” Foward said.

“We need to work with the youth and make them interested in becoming law enforcement officers and firefighters,” said Beane. “Break down the barriers whether they are real or perceived, so we can move forward in this community.”

The D.O.J. has forced other police departments across the country to lower testing standards, citing once again that not enough black candidates were passing. The Dayton Firefighter recruit exam is coming up this summer. The chief said it’s likely the passing score for that test will be lowered as well.

But this is what the race conscious Obama Administration wants. "More blacks hired whether they are qualified or not." It is no longer about getting the job done. Now it's all about filling race quotas. And if minorities aren't qualified for the job, then just lower the standards. 

Profiles in Stupidity: Sheila Jackson Lee

This is the third installment of. "Profiles in Stupidity" in which we  highlight the dumbest politicians in America today. 

Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee is the Representative for Texas's 18th congressional district, serving since 1995. She is a member of the Democratic Party.

Ms. Jackson Lee is arguably one of the dumbest people to ever hold elective office in the USA.

Hurricane Tyrone

In July 2003, Texas representative Sheila Jackson Lee (a member of the NAACP and the Congressional Black Caucus, and an ardent supporter of the current civil-rights leadership) criticized the weather establishment for its selection of names with which to christen hurricanes, stating that

"All racial groups should be represented." and she expressed the hope that in the future such lists "would try to be inclusive of African American names" as well. July 2003

During a 2005 visit to the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California, Lee asked 

"whether the Mars Pathfinder had taken an image of the flag planted on Mars by Neil Armstrong in 1969." (Armstrong's 1969 mission, of course, was to the Moon, not Mars.)

In 2009, Jackson Lee reintroduced a proposal to amend the Constitution to guarantee the rights of women.

"Twenty-seven other countries, including Rwanda, Afghanistan, Algeria and China have equality provisions," 

For some reason, Mrs. Jackson Lee thinks there are two Vietnams today.  Evidently she completely missed the news about North Vietnam winning that war and annexing South Vietnam over 25 years ago...

 "Today, we have two Vietnams, side by side, North and South, exchanging and working. We may not agree with all that North Vietnam is doing, but they are living in peace. I would look for a better human rights record for North Vietnam, but they are living side by side." July 15, 2010


She has also urged better relations between the U.S. and Venezuela, which she describes as a friendly nation, and she said the U.S. should reconsider its ban on selling F-16 fighter jets and spare parts to that country.

Jackson Lee has gained a reputation for being one of the most difficult Representatives to work for. Over a 10 year span of her time in office, at least 39 staffers left after serving less than a year. She has had at least nine chiefs of staff, eight legislative directors, and 18 schedulers or executive assistants.

Nine staffers left within two months, 25 within 6 months. She has handed out nicknames to staffers, including "you stupid motherfucker," and ex-staffers allege that she is hardest on African American staffers. Ex-staffers also reported that Lee often told staffers, "What am I a prostitute? Am I your prostitute? You can’t prostitute me," and would demand that they run redlights. At least one ex-staffer's received medical advice to quit due to the health toll that working for Jackson Lee was taking.

President Obama Calls for End to Bullying

It still hurts after all these years

Washington DC, Mar 12, 2011. While the middle east is in turmoil, gas prices soaring, Japan suffering from a devastating earthquake and tsunami, teachers rioting in Wisconsin for free benefits, and the nation plunging even deeper into the abyss of debt, President Obama has found a new cause... "Childhood bullying."

Speaking at the ‘White House Conference on Bullying Prevention’ this week, President Barack Hussein Obama, D-Kenya, said that as a child he was bullied for his ‘big ears’ and his unusual name.

He states that he ‘didn’t emerge unscathed’ from the torment, and stressed that ‘bullying is not a rite of passage for youth, but a practice that can have destructive consequences’. 

He tells about how he was mercilessly teased about how "he needed a mop instead of a Q-tip to clean his ears." And about the time he had an ear infection, and one of his classmates said "it took a 55 gallon drum of penicillin to clear it up."

When he was four years old, his mother took him to see the Disney Movie "Dumbo."

After the film, the other children all asked him for his autograph.

Many years later, when he was a teenager, he had his ears pierced, and they charged him double due to his ears being so large.


The White House conference has shockingly found that over one third of school aged children have experienced bullying, and an estimated 160,000 students stayed home from school yesterday, for fear of being bullied.

These alarming statistics highlight just how important proactive change about bulling, both in school and online, is. Hopefully, at the conclusion of this conference, we will have some more definite practices in place to stop the trend.

Growing up, everyone is always told that school doesn’t last forever, and no one should take notice of the bullies, because when you leave school they don’t matter anymore.

If president Obama, clearly a self assured, confident human being, as he is the leader of this nation, and is known throughout the whole world, can still feel the sting of bullying, how is a 10 year old child supposed to just brush it off?

President Obama Blames GW Bush for Earthquake

"This is all your fault"

Washington DC. Mar 11, 2011. President Barack Hussein Obama, D-Kenya, has laid all blame for the Japanese earthquake and tsumami on his predisesor, former President G.W. Bush.

"This is the second time that President Bush was ill prepared for an earthquake and tsunami."

"First in 2004 in Indonesia, and now in 2011 in Japan," President Obama told us.

"It's like Hurricane Katrina all over again" he added. "Once again, Bush had his eye off the ball, and things are falling through the cracks. I will probably need a second term just to start fixing the damage he created."

"Lets face it," President Obama said. "Bush had no contingency plan for tsunamis and earthquakes. I inherited a mess, and it takes time to develop these strategies while I have my hands full encouraging hope and change, building a better health care system, and apologizing for our nation' past sins."

One reporter, working for FoxNews, asked the President "why he assumed that former President Bush was responsible for anything. Shouldn't this be the new president's job now?"

The President replied, reading from his teleprompter replied:  "I have to deal with important problems like childhood obesity, and bullying in elementary schools. And I also have to help the Governor of Wisconsin balance his budget. These are things that Bush was supposed to handle."

Earthquake damage in Japan

But Obama didn't avoid all responsibility for dealing with this disaster. He said he would be appointing a Tsunami Czar and an Earthquake Czar early next week.

These two new Czars will advise him on how best to respond to these natural disasters in the future. President Obama is reviewing qualified candidates from ACORN in Chicago for these posts.
